Give Ah Va her own WhatsApp number
A separate number just for Ah Va. Any prepaid SIM or eSIM works, usually under S$10. Connect it, test it freely, then put it on your website and socials when you are ready.
Before you start
- A phone number that is not on WhatsApp or WhatsApp Business. Connecting moves a number off the Business app, so never use the number your customers already message.
- The SIM in a phone that can receive the verification code by SMS or call.
- The Facebook account that runs your business Page.
Already use the WhatsApp Business app? You probably want to keep your number instead. A separate number suits you when you have no WhatsApp line yet, or want Ah Va on a line of her own.
Connect the number
- In Ah Va, open Integrations and find AI WhatsApp inbox. Click Connect WhatsApp.
- In Meta's window, log in with Facebook and pick or create your business.
- Add the new number and confirm it with the code Meta sends to that SIM.
- Finish in Meta's window. The number appears under WhatsApp numbers, marked Testing.
Test, then go live
- Message and call the number yourself, and try real customer questions.
- Fix anything Ah Va gets wrong in Agent settings, under knowledge.
- Let a few teammates or friendly customers try it.
Ready? Publish the number on your website, Google Business Profile and socials, then click Mark as LIVE. From then on Ah Va checks the connection every day.
Good to know
A second WhatsApp number on the same account may need a higher plan. Add another number under WhatsApp numbers tells you if it does.
