What changes on your phone when Ah Va joins your WhatsApp number
Almost nothing. Groups, calls, status and your catalogue keep working in the app. Here is exactly what Ah Va sees, and the few things that change while you are connected.

Connecting your WhatsApp Business app number does not move anything off your phone. The app keeps working, and Ah Va sees your one-to-one chats alongside you.
Keeps working in the app
- One-to-one chats, now also in Ah Va's Conversations
- Group chats
- Voice and video calls
- Status updates
- Your catalogue and orders
- Your chat history on the phone
Changes while connected
- Disappearing messages, view once and live location are switched off in one-to-one chats
- Broadcast lists become read-only
- Linked devices are logged out once when you connect. Link WhatsApp Web again afterwards
- WhatsApp for Windows and Wear OS watches do not work with a connected number
- Open the app at least every 13 days, or Meta disconnects the number
What Ah Va sees
- One-to-one chats in both directions, including replies your team sends from the app. Those show as sent from the WhatsApp app.
- The names of contacts saved on your phone, so chats show the name you know people by.
- Up to six months of past chats, if you chose Share chat history when you connected.
What Ah Va never sees
- Group chats.
- Voice and video calls. WhatsApp calls keep ringing on your phone, and Ah Va answers messages on this number, not calls.
- Status updates.
